We are delighted to announce two key appointments as we enter our third year of business and our client base continues to grow.
Director Tom Ham says “This is the year that Calton is set to start our expansion programme. Laura and Trevor are the first in a string of planned new joiners. Laura has brought significant experience to the board, as well as some temper to my endless enthusiasm, while Trevor is a stalwart of the Edinburgh advice scene, whose experience we look forward to having in the business.”
Laura Bruce
Laura Bruce joins the CWM board as a Non-Executive Director. Laura brings a wealth of experience in financial services, including with the wealth management and private client teams at Barclays and Bank of Scotland. She is currently an Investment Executive at information services firm UMi. She brings particular expertise in advising high-growth SMEs in Scotland and is a mentor for the UK government’s Help to Grow programme. This is Laura’s second Non-Executive Director role in addition to working with Glencraft Luxury Mattresses.
Laura says, “I met Tom while acting as his mentor on the SME Help to Grow programme and was impressed by his desire to help as many people as possible benefit from financial advice, as well as his enthusiasm for innovation. I was delighted when he approached me to become a Non-Exec for Calton Wealth Management and look forward to helping the business grow.”
Trevor Mitchell
Trevor Mitchell joins as an Independent Financial Advisor. Edinburgh-based, Trevor has been an IFA for more than 30 years and brings a loyal following of clients with him. Trevor joins CWM from GRC Financial and increases the number of advisers in the firm to four.
Trevor says, “I was very grateful to be given the opportunity to join an exciting and growing business, that places client experience and outcomes at the heart of it. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team over the coming weeks.”
